Celebrating one week of Poolside Gossip Boutique officially being open! 🎉 To say I’m overwhelmed with the love and support I’ve received is an understatement. The shelves are looking a bit bare but my heart is so full! I’ve learned that having a small business is like having another limb or another child- it’s an extension of you and is always on your mind. All I can say is that I’m so excited for what the future holds and I can’t wait to share it with this community.

If you’re a seeker of beauty, fun, and connection like I am, then I hope you’ll share Poolside Gossip with your friends too. Stay tuned for upcoming events and of course, lots more pretty coming your way!

Here I am in my new happy place 😊. I guess you can say retail is in my blood. For the last few years I’d toyed with the idea of opening a boutique but always imagined it would be a project for the distant future. Now, almost three months to the day I left my almost 16 year career I’m standing in my shop still a bit in disbelief!

My favourite part of selling jewellery (apart from playing with the most exquisite treasures and one of a kind pieces) was getting to connect with people and help them celebrate their loved ones and milestones. I knew I needed that one on one connection in whatever I chose to do next so our once carpenter’s workshop that’s attached to our house transformed into a gift and accessories boutique where I can meet with clients and continue the celebrations! 🎉🥂

If you’re in need of a gift (for a friend or yourself!) or simply want to chat over coffee and look at pretty things, send me a message and let’s put a date on the calendar ☕️ 📆

Welcome to Poolside Gossip, a gift and accessories boutique in Oakville, Ontario run by me, Valerie DaCosta. I believe in celebrating life and loved ones, no matter what day of the year it is.
