Meet Julie.

Before District Refill, Julie Dorion was already a familiar face in Ottawa's small business community. She ran Red Wagon Studio, her graphic design shop, and created Undercarriage Deodorant, a natural deodorant made right here in Canada.

Along the way, one idea kept nagging at her: sustainable living shouldn't be complicated. It shouldn't mean choosing between products that work and products that are actually good for you.

So she opened District Refill, a refillery and gathering space at 107 Colonnade Rd, where everyday people can refill hair care, body care, laundry, cleaning, and kitchen and bathroom essentials, all sourced from Canadian makers.

Julie partners with Pure, a Canadian company built on a closed-loop refill system, so containers get reused again and again instead of ending up in a landfill. Small changes add up, and she's built a shop that makes them easy.

Come refill, come browse, come ask Julie anything. She's here to make going greener feel doable, not overwhelming.
