We were full today for making pillowcases! Thanks so much to Debbie Rolfe, Sandra Millen, Carol Fern Walton, Susan Swan, Sheila Hopper and Evelyne Jamieson for spending the day sewing pillowcases for this great cause! There’s still lots of time to drop some off.😊

For every pillowcase dropped off, you will receive a ballot to win one of 6 gift certificates to Oh Sew Savvy!

Shop hop is next weekend!! Stay tuned for the specials😍 Just a side note. My driveway can be walked on, but not driven on yet. It will be all ready for the Shop hop, though🥰

💝There’s still a couple of spots on Thursday the 17th to sew pillowcases to donate to kids fighting cancer. I do have fabric to donate to make about 12 pillowcases and of course you can bring your own. To make a burrito style pillowcase you will need one 27” piece for the body, one 9” piece for the cuff and a 2” piece for the trim x WOF.

🚙Good evening, all! I just wanted to give you a heads up that the prep work to have concrete laid in my driveway will start tomorrow. THE SHOP WILL BE OPEN!

You will just need to park on the street or my side lawn and walk up beside the driveway😊

❤️On Thursday, September 17, Oh Sew Savvy will host a sew day for making pillowcases to donate to the Ryan’s Case for Smiles campaign supporting kids with cancer. If you want to make burrito style pillowcases, you will need one 27”, one 9” and one 2” piece x WOF.

I do have a bolt of “Bluey” fabric that I will donate to this cause. You will just need fabric for the cuff and piping if you so desire.

❤️September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Oh Sew Savvy is once again collecting pillowcases for this most important campaign. Imagine the look of joy you can put on a child’s face, going through the worst time of their life. If you can sew a pillowcase to donate to this worthwhile cause, we will see that it gets donated to the Ryan’s Case for Smiles campaign.❤️

Oh Sew Savvy is an official drop off location and we will also dedicate a sew day or two to making pillowcases in September. If you’ll be stopping in during the Shop Hop at the end of September, why not consider sewing up a couple of pillowcases and dropping them off?🥰

True Love ❤️is a beautiful new collection by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics. It has a vintage-inspired look that is sweet and nostalgic, with florals and small-scale coordinating prints.

The fabrics have the feeling of old books, countryside gardens and treasured things discovered in an attic.

It would be particularly pretty for traditional pieced quilts, English-country-inspired quilts, baby quilts, pillows, table toppers and scrappy-looking quilts where the fabrics can mingle together.

There are 4 wide backings that come with this collection as well. They are the last 4 featured pictures. They feel so luxurious 🥰

Village Life is Tilda’s new Autumn/Winter 2026 collection which is scheduled for release October 1, 2026.

🏡 Village Life is inspired by the simple pleasures of living in a small village — farms, nature, familiar neighbours, village houses and everyday country life. The collection draws inspiration from vintage wallpaper and pretty dresses, which gives the fabrics that unmistakable old-fashioned Tilda character.

One of the particularly delightful designs is a feature print depicting a little village, including village houses and scenes reminiscent of farmers’ markets.

🍂 There are essentially two palettes, making this collection unusually versatile:

😃What a fabulous time we had!!! Today we were blessed with a visit from a fabulous group of ladies on a Dream Vacations tour, “Stitched in Time: A Newfoundland Quilting Journey Dream Tour”. They are going to have so much fun for the next 10 days!!

Unfortunately, we only got a couple of before and after pics as the main event was very busy! Thanks so much to Amy Kovich, Debbie Rolfe, MommaJo Williams and Ladora Pridham for your incredible help. As always, you guys are the best🥰
