It’s been a long time coming because this field is always so wet - but the tomatoes and jalapeños are finally in. A huge variety of cherry tomatoes for my yummy salsa and San Marzano Romas for the marinara. Jalapeños to pickle and also add some “zing” to salsa.

This tomato planter is quite ancient but still gets the job done! Now we just need that predicted rain to perk up the tomatoes… 🌧️

Special thanks to my husband and brother-in-law for making this happen for me!

Construction on the new garage means I can’t get outside into my farmstand just yet, so we will be in the front entrance for one more week. Hopefully we’re outside next weekend! 🤞🏻 It looks kind of dismal weather-wise tomorrow but just walk on in the green front doors and make yourselves at home.

Wouldn't you know it? It's rhubarb season - so we're baking up some rhubarb treats for you! We have rhubarb crumble top pie and rhubarb crisp for you this weekend. We also have apple crumble (if time permits, I may also get an apple pie or two made).

We'll also have your favourite breads: our famous cheese bread, everything but the bagel bread, original sourdough, blueberry lemon sourdough and roasted garlic/parmesan/rosemary sourdough. Never fear...we have our gigantic chocolate chip and rockstar cookies this weekend too, as well as triple chocolate brownies and mini banana breads.

I might be out of fresh basil and this might be a “less-than-stellar” hothouse tomato, but Jiminy, this is an awesome breakie on my fresh sourdough! I can hardly wait for my own Roma tomatoes to grow. Of course, they’re not even in the ground yet so…🤣
