The Thrift Shop is operated as a fundraising initiative to ensure that the high quality programs and services of The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors continue to be available to seniors in Prince Edward County to assist them to live in reasonable independence in their own homes in the community. At the Community Care for Seniors Thrift Shop we receive donated stock, clean it, repair

it, price and sell it. ALL OF THE INCOME, less operating expenses like heat and hydro, funds programs to help seniors in The County to live at home.

Congratulations to Taylor Thurston of Picton. Taylor, a PECI graduate, is the recipient of The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Foundation Award.
This award is presented to a deserving student proceeding to study in the field of Social Service Worker or Gerontology.
Taylor will continue their education attending the Paramedic Program at Loyalist College in September. We wish Taylor all the best in their future endeavours.

Congratulations to Abigail Young of Picton. Abigail, a PECI graduate, is the recipient of The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Foundation Maureen Finnegan Award for outstanding volunteer service to the community.
Throughout high school Abigail volunteered with the ROC Youth Centre, Cadets, and assisted with afterschool activities and fundraisers.
Abigail plans to continue their education at Ottawa University.
