🍂🐝 Its almost sweater weather and the bees know it!

While we’re starting to think about cozy sweaters, pumpkin everything and changing leaves, the bees have a whole different to-do list. 😉

As the days get shorter and cooler, the hive starts getting busy preparing for winter. The bees are stocking up on honey, keeping the queen safe and adjusting the size of the colony as the season winds down.

And here’s a cool one: you might notice fewer bees out collecting nectar because there simply isn’t as much available. The girls are becoming a little more “stay home and save the groceries” than “let’s go shopping!” 😂

That honey they’ve worked so hard to store? It’s their winter food supply and they’ll rely on it when flowers are gone and flying outside isn’t an option.

So as you enjoy those first crisp fall mornings, remember… there’s a whole lot of work happening inside the hive.🐝🍯
