Our very own Ollie — and the inspiration behind the Canine Commons logo — was in for his turn at the spa!

Just like cleaning your car before a road trip, grooming Ollie before we hit the road is a MUST. That loose hair has to go somewhere… and trust me, your car, your luggage, and the friends or family housing you will all thank you!

The amount of hair that comes out of this boy never fails to blow us away! 🤯

Bowser is new to us and came in with some separation anxiety, so being in a new place was definitely a big step for this sweet boy.

But he did so great for his first visit! He handled the new environment like a champ and showed us just how good he can be.

You’d never guess it, but this sweet girl is almost 14 years old!

Nikki’s favourite place in the whole world? Laying in her very own dirt hole, of course! So, we gave her a full trim to help limit the amount of dirt and debris she brings back in on that beautiful coat.

Now she’s fresh, tidy, and ready to get right back to what she loves most.

Sweet Willa came in for her first professional grooming and did such an amazing job!

As a farm girl who loves spending her days swimming in the creek, she arrived with a very dirty coat, lots of loose undercoat, and some matting behind her ears that we weren’t sure we’d be able to fully remove.

We started with two shampoos before even tackling the coat, which made a huge difference in getting everything clean and ready to work with. Once we got into that undercoat, it was clear just how much was trapped in there!

Willa was such a good girl through the whole process, and now she’s fresh, clean, mat-free and ready to get back to her favourite farm life with her bestie, Olivia!

Oh, Ben!

Ben usually comes to see us for his nail trims, but this time his mom decided he deserved a full spa day!

Right now, we’re seeing SO many short-haired breeds come in because they are shedding like crazy! All that loose undercoat has to go somewhere… might as well be at the spa!

Timber was in for a little refresh today!

He was one of our very first grooming clients when we started grooming, so it’s always extra special to have him back. He is such a sweet boy who just goes with the flow and makes grooming a pleasure!

Sasha, a beautiful Shepherd, came in today for a much-needed grooming session! She had gotten a little behind on her grooming and came in with some matting that needed extra attention.

Sasha was sensitive to certain parts of the grooming process, so we took our time, watched her body language and cues closely, and adjusted our approach whenever she needed us to. Her comfort and trust always come first!

With patience, care, and a little extra TLC, Sasha was feeling fresh and looking beautiful again. ✨

Zoe was in for her first de-shed with us, and she did such a great job!

The past couple of weeks have been all about the short-haired de-sheds around here… must be something in the air!

Zoe was wonderful throughout the majority of her appointment. She did become a little reactive when it came time for her nails, so we used a soft muzzle to help keep everyone safe and allow us to gently trim back her nails. They were quite long and may have been causing her some discomfort.

Nail trims can be a stressful experience for some dogs, especially when their nails have become overgrown, so we always prioritize safety, patience and making the experience as positive as possible.

Our sassy little Frenchton is back! Maisey is a regular for her nail trims, but today she came in for a full grooming and a much-needed de-shed treatment.

Maisey definitely has her opinions about the grooming process — just like with her nails, she is not a fan of the blow dryer. So we skipped the blow dry today and focused on keeping her comfortable while still getting her fresh, clean and looking fabulous!

And honestly… with that face and that attitude, Maisey can get away with being a little sassy! 😍
