At long last a post about stone.
The sailboat is soapstone and alabaster. The tea light holder is Indian marble and I call it “Partridge in a Pear Tree”. Both pieces are only sanded to 120. The road to 3000 grit is currently long and slow. Three hours today with a slowly healing wrist but I’m not complaining. After 7 weeks, I’m finally back at it. 😊🎉

After 5 1/2 hours of hot and dusty work today, these Canadian Soapstone maple leaves are sanded, the base pins set and tops drilled. There’s still quite a bit to do, but I’m delighted that one large leaf and one small leaf have already been claimed by their future owners. When completed, they’ll be catching the breeze to Ontario and Nova Scotia. 🍁
