So, you've probably all seen the news about Anthropic physically slicing up and destroying old and rare books to train its sycophantic plagiarism machine - sorry, I mean AI.

As horrific and repulsive as this is, this now makes buying, collecting and preserving books a revolutionary act. In an age where we are encouraged to outsource our thinking to a verbose but thirsty Roomba, *reading becomes radical.*

So, now is a great time to add to your collections, support a small business (we promise we are NOT fascist billionaires) and, if you're inspired by good books, please get writing and we will publish via Pete's Press .

We have exciting news for film fans!

We’re celebrating the Canadian premiere of The Bookstore That Never Sleeps at Regina International Film Festival and Awards (RIFFA).

Pete’s Bookshop is honoured to be partnering with RIFFA to give away a pair of All-Access Passes to the film festival.

Winners will get full access to check out all the festival films and join us for the Awards Gala.
