Who are we kidding? You don't need a reason to save money!

Piano tuning is getting pretty expensive, partly because of the ridiculous price of gas!!!

If I only had to drive 5 minutes between customers, I could reduce my prices considerably!

My scheduling software can do it, but the problem is that PEI is so spread out that once someone books an appointment, nobody else can book that appointment unless they live 5 minutes away from the first person!

I found the solution.

This is Charli. She's our dog. She's a good dog.

I've been teaching her to heel, fetch, turn, lie down, lie on her side, etc., and she's pretty good at it. I'm proud of how well she listens.

But there's this guy in our neighbourhood who walks his dog every day, without a leash! The dog just follows him.

Today I was practicing with Charli. I had the leash on her but she was fetching the ball and Mr. Fancy Pants and his dog came by.

Well that was it. Charli was gone, barking at his dog, and his dog just stayed beside him.

The thought occurred to me; maybe I should ask him how he trained his dog, but then it occurred to me. I know what he would say; all the stuff that I know, but don't want to admit.

- Take your dog out many times a day, not just once a day (We sometimes miss a day and that's when Charli is the most wild.)

- Take some classes in dog obedience

- Be humble enough to know you can't do it yourself, and get help.

And then it occurred to me that a lot of the people that reach out to me about piano tuning are just like me and Charli.

What are some of the things you know you should be doing to get better at piano tuning (or whatever) but you just don't want to admit it, even though deep down you know doing them would make you successful?
