Create a new drawing with me.

I always start with a reference picture (sometimes more then one) and use that to create a basic sketch.

Step 2 depending on how complicated the design is. Sometimes I need a second round of sketching to refine my lines other time I move right onto step 3

Step 3 I use my preferred brush to fill in the base colour

Step 4 I use a slightly altered version of my preferred brush to draw the details over the main colour

Step 5 can either be quick or the longest part depending on what I am drawing. This is where I add in other colours to bring the drawing from a flat design to an actual recognizable object.

She always be covered in a pile of junk and sometimes I want to smash her with a sledgehammer but ultimately without her the cozy gal club would be a lot more limited in the products available.

Although I probably prefer working with my Brother Scan and Cut or drawing new designs on my IPad, this was the first big purchase I made for The Cozy Gal Club and for that reason she will always be one of my favourite tools.

If you have been following along with you may have noticed my lack of posts this week. Something I have always struggled with is sticking to something. My ADHD wants to focus on the next thing so lately that has been market prep and wedding planning. I promise I haven’t forgot about all you amazing ppl on social media and am going to keep working on sticking to the rest of this month’s challenge.

Today’s : a little work in progress ✨

I’m working on the very first print tests for my 2027 desk calendars! 📅 Right now I’m testing everything from colours and print quality to making sure my artwork looks just as cute on paper as it does on my screen before I move on to the final cardstock.

And this particular test copy already has a home! 🥰 I’m giving it to my wonderful dad, who has been recruited into the Cozy Gal Club production team 😂 He’s going to use it to work on a design for a 3D-printed calendar stand so these little guys can actually stand up on your desk!

Still some tweaking and testing to do, but I’m VERY excited about how they’re coming together. 💕✨

I slacked a little over the long weekend, but if you saw my story on Saturday you know why 😉

Throwing it back to my very first official sweater blanket design! 🥹

The Founding Member Sweater Blanket was one of the products that started The Cozy Gal Club — giant, ridiculously cozy, and apparently also the perfect perch for a cat. 😂🐈‍⬛

And the Founding Member part is officially limited edition! 👀 These will only be available until the end of 2026. After that, the design will switch to simply Member.

So if you’ve been here since year one, you’ve still got a few months to make it official. 💚

Today’s prompt is My Story 🤎

The Cozy Gal Club started with a pretty simple idea: I wanted to make things that feel good.

Things you reach for when you want to be cozy. Things that make you laugh. Things that make a rough day a tiny bit softer. And sometimes things that are just cute because honestly… that is reason enough. 😂

Since starting CGC, I’ve learned so much. I’ve made products that worked, products that definitely needed a second attempt, stood behind my little market table wondering if anyone would stop, celebrated every sale, and gotten ridiculously excited every time someone genuinely loves something I made.

And I’m still very much figuring it out.

I have big dreams for what The Cozy Gal Club could eventually become, but right now I’m really enjoying watching this little business grow one design, one market, one order, and apparently one chaotic idea at a time. 😂

Thank you to everyone who has bought something, stopped at my booth, shared a post, followed my page, or simply told me “that’s so cute.” You’re helping turn something that lived in my head into something real.

Hi! 👋 I’m Gabby, founder and artist behind The Cozy Gal Club. 🧡

In my late teens and early twenties, I went through some pretty intense mental health struggles, and one of my saving graces was having a space where I felt allowed to rest without expectations. That feeling became a huge part of what inspired The Cozy Gal Club. I want to help create that same reminder for others: you’re allowed to rest before you completely burn yourself out.

Since today is Day 1 of the challenge, here’s a little more about the gal behind the club!

I’m a very proud cat mom to Love & Oreo 🐱, the long-term partner of an incredibly supportive man who puts up with all my creative chaos ❤️, a HUGE Blue Jays fan who has made some amazing friends through our shared love of the boys in blue ⚾, and a friend to some truly wonderful humans — including Sydney, who gave me one of my favourite titles ever: Auntie Gabby to her beautiful little boy, George. 💙

And, of course, I’m a daughter and sister who will forever be grateful for the family who raised me and helped make me who I am.

So, hi! 👋 Welcome to my little cozy corner of the internet. I’m excited to share a lot more throughout September. 🧡
