A visionary, developer and pioneer, Mr. Simard leaves behind an exceptional legacy, one that will live on through every économusée and artisan who embodies it.

A BIT OF HISTORY: Who designed the Artisans at Work logo? 🖊️

Behind the concept and the word ÉCONOMUSÉE®, there is Cyril Simard, architect, designer and ethnologist. He is also the creator of this seal, proudly worn by artisans.

His inspiration? 🏛️ Colonnades. Timeless symbols of architecture and cultural heritage, bridging past and present. 📜

A subtle touch: they also form an E and an M, for Economy and Museology. Nothing was left to chance!

The Tea Rose Room is open at Placentia West Heritage Committee Lyvier's Lot. Stop by and see the textile artisans at work, enjoy the heritage site, then enjoy some traditional faire in the tea room. Perfect rainy (or any weather really) afternoon retreat.

A big welcome to one of our newest members: Pollen Nation Farm

The Newfoundland honey bee is world class because it is one of the only places where the bees are unaffected by the varroa mites, thus requiring no use of antibiotics.
