Anybody can buy items mass produced for cheep on line and resell. It takes someone with a passion for creativity to take something old or new and create a beautiful masterpiece. Yes we purchase our materials from businesses, on line or in person, but the difference is we take these materials and turn them into our own creation. This takes time, hard work and our labor which we seldom get paid for. We pay high fees just to get noticed and maybe just maybe we make our fee back. Event organizers dont really care about their vendors. They are there to make a profit. I am starting to be more particular on the markets i choose to vend at now. Things need to change.

I love when i visualize a piece in my mind and it comes to life. This beautiful butterfly necklace was origionally a brooch I thrifted years ago. I cut the pin off and grinded down the sharp edges. Added a chain and Swarovski crystals to add to the detail. I think this piece speeks for itself with the stunning emerald faceted crystal in the middle and the tones of turquoise and amber throughout the wings. This is an origional one of a kind piece.

As a small homebased business who creates handmade, it really bothers me when I see other vendors buying from Shein or Temu and trippling the price and reselling these products at markets. Its not a flea market. These are handmade artisan markets. I do my best to make sure im supporting local businesses when i source my materials. I honestly think that event coordinators need to be more choosy when selecting their vendors. We makers put alot of time and effort into creating our pieces.
