First off, I love representing artisans in South Georgian Bay. There is so much incredible talent and personalities 😁
However, a meaningful interaction between an artisan and a community member is something I cannot entirely replace, and I shouldn't. It's a beautiful connection and it is the mission of Georgian Bay Marketplace to enrich our community.

That's why I want to help artisans reach out to the public, and vice versa. The website was shut down for a short time, and more orders kept coming in! We gained a larger presence over the summer and I intend to keep going. It will just look a little different.

On each artisan page, you will find their social media, their website, and their contact info if you wish to make a direct purchase. For people who want to order multiple items and have the convenience of one delivery, I will still offer those services!

This decision was made to support community connections and to create a more sustainable business model for Georgian Bay Marketplace.
Some people have questioned my decision to do this, because I won't receieve any payment for direct purchases. However, this is not my concern in life. As a child, my biggest fear was climate change so this is my effort to build a more sustainable future. Some people won't understand my decision and that's okay. I think it says more about our society than it does about me 😉

For those interested in building a website to sell products, I put together a document comparing different platforms (Wix, Weebly, Shopify and Square Up). I've built a commerce website with all of them, and I'm happy to help so let me know if you want to see this document or need any advice.

⭐NEW⭐ Had to share these beautiful boards just added to the website!

The top image is a handmade cutting board from Kevins Off Cuts. Made from walnut, maple, mulbury, purpleheart, padauk & cherry. Six different types of wood!🤩

The bottom two are charcuterie boards from KB Creations. Both are ash wood but the left one is decorated with 💙blurple💜 resin and the right is 🖤black gold💛
