Just a friendly reminder that The Global Joy Magazine is, and always will be, a family-friendly magazine. Because of this, we kindly ask that all submissions and comments remain PG.

Our magazine does not publish nudity, bo***ir photography, sexual content, or images that contain even subtle hints of nudity or sexual themes. Please keep this in mind when submitting your work or participating in the comments.

We truly appreciate everyone helping us keep this a welcoming, comfortable, and family-friendly space for photographers, artists, writers, and readers of all ages.

If you’re a photographer, writer, drawer, painter, illustrator, crocheter, embroiderer, beadworker, crafter, or another kind of creative, I’d love to hear from you!

Our first Seasons of Life submission email was sent on September 11th, with a second email sent on September 13th.

Please note that if you joined the email list after September 13th, you will not receive an email for Seasons of Life. You will receive the submission email for our next theme!

If you have already subscribed before September 13th, your email should be in your inbox from Josie Ann. A few people have found their submission email in their Promotions folder, so please check there as well, along with your spam or junk folder if you don't see it right away.

✨ A LITTLE EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT! ✨

I just absolutely loved how our Creative Souls issue turned out! It was so fantastic seeing everyone’s different forms of creativity come together, and it made me realize I want to make even more room for our creative community!

So from now on, The Global Joy Magazine isn’t just for photographers! Writers and artists will now have the option to submit to every issue too!

Have something you’ve already written, painted, drawn, or created that fits the theme? Send it my way! You can comment below or send me a private DM so I can get you the Google Form to fill out.

Now, one important thing to note is just like our photographers, writers and artists will be asked a little question to help tie their work into the theme. For the writers of Seasons of Life, the question is:
“In 1–2 sentences, how does your writing reflect the ‘Seasons of Life’?”
For the artists submitting to Seasons of Life, the question is:
"Through your art, how do you express the beauty of the “Seasons of Life”?"

✨ A Little Tear Sheet Note ✨

I truly LOVE creating these complimentary tear sheets for you! They’re my little way of saying thank you for sharing your beautiful work and being part of The Global Joy Magazine. Since contributors aren’t paid for being published, I love giving you something special to keep and share.

Just a little reminder to please save your tear sheet when you receive it, as I don’t keep backups after they’ve been sent. These take around two extra hours per issue to create, so recreating individual tear sheets can be quite time-consuming.

And because I’m human too, the occasional mistake can happen! 😅 If you notice something that needs correcting, please send me a message within 24 hours of receiving your tear sheet. That way, I can correct the final PDF on MagCloud and then send you an updated tear sheet with the correction.

After that 24-hour window, I may not be able to make changes or recreate it, so please take a quick look when yours arrives!

I really do love making these for you, and I hope they feel like the little thank-you they’re meant to be!

Theme: Seasons Of Life
📸 Submissions are OPEN!

Through your lens, how do you capture the beauty of the “Seasons Of Life”?

This theme is completely open to your interpretation! Your answer could be found in wildlife, nature, or people. There is no right or wrong answer. I want to see what “Seasons Of Life” looks like through your lens!

How to Submit
• Comment 1–3 photographs from your personal profile below for consideration.
• Please submit from your personal Facebook profile, not a photography or business page. I need to be able to contact you if your image is selected and unfortunately, I cannot message pages. So please make sure your photos are submitted directly from your personal profile.
• If you have a photography page, feel free to tag it!
• You must be 18+ to submit.
• Only submit if you are willing to complete the Google Form if selected.
• Models may not submit their own images. If you would like a photo of yourself featured, please have the photographer who captured it submit it.

Submission Timeline
• Submissions will stay open for 1–5 days, or until enough submissions are received.
• I’ll begin contacting photographers approximately 24 hours after submissions open.

Selection Process
• Being selected is not guaranteed.
• If chosen, I’ll message you with a Google Form and further instructions.
• Please return the completed form within 24 hours.
• Final publication decisions will be made after reviewing all submitted information and images.

Please Submit
• Your own original photography
• Family-friendly images
• Images you have permission to publish

Please do not submit:
• AI-generated images
• Low-quality images
• Selfies (unless it is you HEADSHOT. I understand not everyone has a professional headshot. That is okay!)
• Watermarked images
• Nudity or bo***ir photography
• Images involving illegal activity

Cost
• Submitting and being featured is completely free!
• If published, purchasing a magazine copy is optional but always appreciated. Print and digital copies may be available through MagCloud.
• Published photographers will receive a digital tear sheet of their individual feature and cover where applicable. Full complimentary magazine copies are not provided.

A Little Reminder
• By submitting, you give The Global Joy Magazine permission to use selected images for the magazine, promotional materials, and related social media posts. Copyright always remains with the photographer.
• If selected, you may also be asked for a short bio, headshot, and a few additional details for your feature.

I am incredibly grateful for every photographer, artist and writer who shared their creativity, stories, and beautiful moments with us! This issue turned out better then I had imaged, so thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life!

✨ CREATIVE SOULS UPDATE! ✨

Issue #5 of The Global Joy Magazine: Creative Souls is officially COMPLETE!

I’m working on the final touches now, and I’m hoping to have the issue officially go live here on Facebook at 5 PM today!

Over the next hour or two, I’ll also be sending out the digital tear sheets to each photographer, writer, and artist who is part of this issue. Please be patient with me as it does take a little while to get all of the tear sheets prepared, organized, and sent out to everyone.

Thank you all so much for your patience and for being part of this very special issue. I am SO excited for everyone to see it! There is so much creativity, photography, writing, and beautiful art packed into these pages.

Creative Souls is almost ready to be shared and I am BEYOND EXCITED for this one!!!
