Knot Yer Nan's Crochet Hi, I'm Joanne Green, Maker, Owner, CEO and the funny, crafty gal behind the Knot Yer Nan's Crochet.

Hi, I'm Joanne Green, Maker, Owner, CEO, and the funny, crafty gal behind the Knot Yer Nan's Crochet By MamaJo. My journey with crochet began when my home economics teacher got me hooked as a teenager. Her passion and patience in teaching a first-time crocheter left a lasting impression on me. What fascinated me the most was the magic of taking simple yarn and transforming it into fabric—then turn

ing that fabric into something meaningful, like a cozy wearable. That feeling of creating something from scratch was both thrilling and rewarding. Then, years later, my passion was reignited when I worked on my first baby bunting bag for my cousin’s new baby. The joy of crafting something with my hands returned, and I found myself picking up my hook more often, creating blankets for my own children. With every stitch, I felt a sense of accomplishment and realized just how much crochet meant to me. One of my most cherished early projects was a baby blanket I made for my firstborn. Though my stitches weren’t perfect, the love and care woven into every loop made it special. Life moved on, and for a time, crochet took a backseat as I focused on family and other responsibilities. Today, crochet is more than just a craft—it’s a source of peace and comfort. It calms me during stressful times and allows me to express creativity in a way that feels deeply personal. More than anything, I hope my handmade pieces bring joy, warmth, and a sense of coziness to others. Each item I create carries a little piece of my heart, stitched with love and intention, ready to bring comfort to someone else’s home.

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to my amazing team of pattern testers! 🍲💗

Designing a new pattern is always an adventure, but it truly takes a village of wonderful makers to bring it to life. My testers poured so much time & care into testing the Soup & Baked Bean Bowl Cosie, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their support and feedback.

This pattern holds a special place in my heart! The unique bean stitch texture and clever seamless construction, worked in continuous rounds, is designed to be as fun to hook up as it is cozy to use. Watching all of their beautiful bowl cozies come together made every stitch of the design process worth it.

To my pattern testers: thank you for your patience, your keen eyes, and your beautiful work. Knot Yer Nan’s Crochet couldn’t have done it without you all! 🧶✨

I know I should tackle cleaning & reorganizing my work space. Ignoring my little corner of the house that I use as an office and working at the dinning room table instead. Do you work from home, like I do? What does your work space look like?
