ing that fabric into something meaningful, like a cozy wearable. That feeling of creating something from scratch was both thrilling and rewarding. Then, years later, my passion was reignited when I worked on my first baby bunting bag for my cousin’s new baby. The joy of crafting something with my hands returned, and I found myself picking up my hook more often, creating blankets for my own children. With every stitch, I felt a sense of accomplishment and realized just how much crochet meant to me. One of my most cherished early projects was a baby blanket I made for my firstborn. Though my stitches weren’t perfect, the love and care woven into every loop made it special. Life moved on, and for a time, crochet took a backseat as I focused on family and other responsibilities. Today, crochet is more than just a craft—it’s a source of peace and comfort. It calms me during stressful times and allows me to express creativity in a way that feels deeply personal. More than anything, I hope my handmade pieces bring joy, warmth, and a sense of coziness to others. Each item I create carries a little piece of my heart, stitched with love and intention, ready to bring comfort to someone else’s home.

Proud Teacher Moment! 🧶✨

A few months ago, I stepped out of my comfort zone and taught my very first crochet student. Fast forward to today, and she’s not just following patterns; she’s actually crocheting her own original designs! 🥹 Down below are a few photos of the incredible projects she’s created. And of her certificate. I couldn’t be prouder of her progress!

Honestly, I couldn’t have done it without the American Crochet Association’s Crochet Instructor Training Course. As a student of the program myself, it gave me the exact tools, structure, and confidence I needed to go from "Can I really do this?" to guiding someone else on their crochet journey.

It's fabulous being a tester!! I recently tested for Lisa this Freya the Fox Hacky Sack. It was so fun to make. I used a knee-high stocking filled with poly pellets to stuff this cutie to use as a hackysack/footbag; the craze is back, or did it ever leave!! Lisa's pattern is so easy & fun to work up, with alternative options to make a plushie or add fastenings for an adorable charm.

Designing a new pattern is always an adventure, but it truly takes a village of wonderful makers to bring it to life. My testers poured so much time & care into testing the Soup & Baked Bean Bowl Cosie, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their support and feedback.

This pattern holds a special place in my heart! The unique bean stitch texture and clever seamless construction, worked in continuous rounds, is designed to be as fun to hook up as it is cozy to use.
