What’s my hobby?
- It’s making miniatures!

I just finished watching all seasons of best in miniature on netflix and I’ve really started missing my time when I had the luxury of making things out of trash. Being a mom isn’t easy, the whole house feels like a trash sometimes, while I clean up the mess I always wish I could get my hands dirty again making miniatures instead of doing housework but it is what it is.. This too shall pass, counting my days till I can get back to making such art again. Till then, reminiscing some of my work, although could never really bring out my true potential due to lack of time in my forever busy life!

The pictures are as follows:

- Experimented spary painting in PLA plastic and this is how my 3D modelled bed turned out! Placed in one of my mini room that I’ve built from scratch, still unfinished, hoping i’d get the bedding done on top of it someday..

- My first attempt of 3D printing a bed (that I also 3D modelled from scratch using Rhino)

- Barbie sized wall mounted shell designed lamp! Take my hand for size reference 👊🏻

- My first attempt at ceiling spot lighting!

- Laser etched wooden doors, simple geometric design also by me!

- Check out the video of my working wooden doors!

- Making of my favourite wooden framed plexiglass door! (thanks to laser cutters)

- My mini house (made out of foam-core board) floors all over my bed and my room before assembling!

- Small time lapse clip of me putting the house together! Its only memory now!

- A lush rooftop terrace of my mini house.

- My first ever 3D model that came to life with a 3D printer back in 2017. I tried to give it more character by painting it with acrylic paint!

- Ofcourse I 3D printed a mini me! And it was also 3D modelled/sculpted by me!

- One of my favourite upholstery work of a sofa chair and yep thats the half eaten apple of my mac book for size reference!

- Barbie sized shopping bags made from scratch with paper and the closest lighting done by me at the back (pictured with and without flash!)

Eid AlAdha Mubarak! Here is a table full of food art, as food is a huge part of Eid, specially in our Bangladeshi culture.

Last Eid Al Fitr (2 months ago) I drew this art by hand, and this Eid I brought it to life by hand drawing changes and creating this frame by frame 2D animation.

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone from Egg Eye Productions!

Found some time this ramadan during my work shift as a medical interpreter, when Bangladeshis living abroad gave us less call volumes, probably they were too tired to talk while fasting.. 😅.
Alhamdulillah was able to hand draw these iftar items from scratch, one day at a time that I usually crave during Ramadans spent abroad. Oh, how our tables used to be full back home in Bangladesh, with these deshi items. Being surrounded by our loved ones probably made the food taste even better. Miss the big fat family gatherings at iftar time during ramadan as I grew up in a joint family in my loving family home Etisham, ramadan at etisham is a whole different chapter of Nostalgia for me..

Drawing this actually brought me lots of joy and made me feel alot closer to my childhood iftars in Bangladesh. Hope viewing this art brings you some of that joy- specially for those who are away from home during Ramadan and don’t get to see a full table. May Allah help us all to cope up with the sadness of staying away from our home-land and loved ones. 💕

I wanted to share my proud moment as an artist - when my art reached where it belongs and today I wanted to share the story here, so here it goes..
This art work was my first personal project after officially launching egg eye productions, I wanted to start from my roots so it took me back to my great grandfather’s Zamindar Bari (200 year old heritage home, him being the last zamindar/ruler of our bloodline). It’s been nearly 2 years since I drew it and posted it on my page in September 2022, didn’t get much response back then as the audience was also very few when I opened this account. But at the beginning of this year (2024) I thought about sharing it on the facebook group of our Zamindari family, as I felt people there would be able to relate more to this particular art and the sentiments. And I was right, I recieved alot of love for my work from my extended dad’s side of the family and I truly felt like I could finally make my late Grandfather proud with my kind of work, wherever he is right now..
Then again, 2 months ago my parents decided to make a trip to the Zamindar Bari for Eid (might have been inspired by the recent hype that this art have created in our lives). That is when I felt like my art needed to be kept where it belongs. So I instructed my father to frame the art accordingly and special thanks to my mother for carrying it all the way and making sure it reaches the final destination even though the journey wasn’t an easy one. This location still has to be reached by waterways and the hidden gem is a rough ride away from any nearby town.
Thanks to my parents, my art now rests where it belongs and this somehow feels like I was able to write my name in history, if not the world history, atleast a part of our zamindari family’s history.

A historical site: Kaunia Miya Bari Zamindar Bari. (Heritage home of my paternal grandfather late Badiur Rahman Khan Montu).

This art is of the “Kaunia Miya Bari” Zamindar Bari located at Borguna in Barishal district of Bangladesh hand drawn originally by me on Procreate. My favourite subject for drawing is “Architecture and Environmental Design” and there could be nothing more authentic than where my roots are buried deep… So I chose my heritage home.

So, it was built by my great grandfathers who were the Zamindars of British India. I only heard stories from my grandfather about the beautiful flower gardens that existed when my fore fathers ruled. Even though the vast land is left deserted now, I tried to imagine what it used to look like when everything was as fresh as new and taken care of. I don’t know if I made justice to how beautiful it was 200 years ago but I hope you like my art. I think this magestic architecture surrounded by flora would look great if printed on a large canvas or photo paper and framed to be hung up in the Living room wall. Let me know if you want a framed physical version of this art.

Here is my second drawing of the Etisham Series-

“The Bougainvillea gate of my memories.”

This is another hand drawing that brought along alot of emotions while I was drawing it. As far back as my memories go, this is the view I grew up watching from inside our main gate. The main gate that I was strictly forbidden to cross by feet or by car without my family’s permission, probably until I got married lol.

Our main gate have changed alot of colors over the years. Most people liked it when it was rainbow colored and named it the “rainbow gate”. But the baby pink and mint green combination is the one I remember the most with a full bloom of the Bougainvillea tree so it had to be included in my drawing. Although the last time I saw it, it was just cream colored. The front porch would always have 2-3 of our family cars parked, but in the evening we’d get the space emptied out by sending the cars to the back garage, in order to play cricket, ride my bicycle or play badminton during winter with my cousins and Rony chacha.

The garden fence was to the left and my grandma’s flowering plants were displayed on top of the boundary wall on the right. My grandmother loved flowers and was very knowledgeable about all kinds of flowers in the world and their nurturing. She creatively used the outdoor space to plant flowering trees, bushes and vines to enhance the beauty of our home sweet home Etisham, ofcourse with the help of her gardener Belal Kaka. Out of all the flower collections my grandma had on the property, the hot pink flowers that felt like paper in my hands, of the bougainvillea tree that was planted in our garden and climbed up the arch on top of our main gate, was my most favourite. So wherever I see this tree it doesn’t remind me of traditional Greece but instead it reminds me of home..

“Etisham - established 17th February 1981”

With this drawing I’d like to start sharing my Etisham series drawings. It is a project that will probably be the closest to my heart forever! Stay tuned for more..

For those who don’t know, it is the nameplate of my family home, built by my paternal grandfather which lasted for 40 years. Interesting fact about the naming of our family home: the name wasn’t just picked randomly, the name was made up carefully with love and it was very personal to my father’s family. Each letter in bengali stands for each family member’s nickname. E for Eeda & Emu (my grandmother & my uncle), Ti for Tina (my aunt), Sha for Shayer (my dad) and M for Montu (my grandfather).
This is the home where I grew up since my birth (27 years give or take) and now to be an artist.. Lucky I am or lucky is Etisham, to have found each other in this world. The love I’ve found growing up here, I don’t know if there is any other way to give back that love to Etisham other than turning the images from my memories eternal, by drawing them with my very own hands. Maybe, I was destined to hold onto Etisham’s legacy by making these drawings.
People who have known Etisham might feel nostalgic just as I did through the whole process of drawing the images from my memories.

I used a reference picture of the name plate from my wedding time, sadly when it was actually photographed for the first and last time. This also makes me realize how we take alot of things for granted in this world when they exist in our life and we mourn deeply when they cease to exist and we want to go back in time which we also know is impossible. My drawing is a bit different because it is drawn from my memory, how I saw the nameplate outside the main gate of our building, usually in the day time when it was mostly visible. The nameplate was always clean when we all lived there, it was engraved in black on a white stone and embedded on the left marble terrazo pillar of our main gate. The shadow of the bougainvillea tree’s branches would always fall on the nameplate as the leaves and flowers always lushed over our main gate.

Just drew my sister-in-law .a.m.y.a.19 as Priestess Kikiyo with her soul collectors! This portrait was hand drawn by me with Apple pencil on Procreate.

I was demotivated to draw anything since AI started generating digital portraits for everyone. Finally after a long break I was able to clear my mind and make this art.
I know people are widely using AI these days to generate such images but I’m sure there are still some personal touches that AI cannot bring into your portrait. If you want to see yourself as your favourite Anime or Cartoon character this way, message me on my page!

P.S This is probably a surprise to my sister-in-law 🤭, when I saw a picture she posted yesterday, she reminded me so much of Kikiyo that I ended up drawing her as Kikiyo! I hope you like it apu 😋. This is a small token of love for all the support you always show me to keep me motivated!
