Put it up. Watch it slide down. Wonder what went wrong.

We've all done it. You stick a Cling-rite® sheet to the wall, walk away, and come back to find it drooping like a sad poster from 1997. Good news: it's almost never the sheet. It's usually one of three small mistakes, and all three are easy to fix once you know them.

First, rough walls. Textured or porous surfaces break the static charge fast. Cling-rite holds best on smooth, clean indoor walls, so give it a quick wipe before you apply.

Second, the wrong marker. Permanent markers and acrylics bond to the film for good and turn a reusable sheet into a single-use one. Stick with dry erase or low-odor markers and you can wipe and reuse all you like.

Third, peeling it off too fast. Ripping a big sheet down tears the film and kills the cling. Peel slowly from one corner, rolling it back on itself, and the charge stays intact.
