I made this for Team Tata’s Charity, which is hosting its annual event and silent auction on May 9th to benefit the Alberta Cancer Foundation. Having participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, this cause is personal to me. They've raised an impressive nearly $1 million. 🫶🫶

What’s on the bench? I’m working on some inlay pieces this week. I love that I can create whatever I want. If you’re looking for a memorial piece, I can also add ashes of your loved one. I’ll be making something in memory of my dad; I’ll post pictures of that soon. 🫶

I made my first true inlay with Kingman Turquoise from the mine, and I love how this cactus pendant turned out 🌵. I’m looking forward to making more inlay pieces, which are done with jeweler's grade adhesive, not resin.

I was fortunate enough to drive up to the Kingman Turquoise mine on our recent trip to Phoenix, Arizona. It is located in the Cerbat Mountains and is one of the highest-producing and oldest mines, with origins dating back over 1,000 years to indigenous, pre-Columbian miners. The mine has been commercially active since the 1880s and is renowned for its high-grade blue turquoise; it is currently operated by the Colbaugh family.

What's on the bench? I'm currently working on some open-back sea glass rings and some shell rings, because who doesn't love ocean-inspired jewelry! Just in time for brighter days 🫶

I finished this heart-shaped sea glass bracelet last week, but I was too unwell to post it. The sea glass I used is from Cape Breton, NS. The chain is all handmade, with each link having texture for added sparkle.
