Selling one of my personal guitars…a 2015 Yamaha FG700S that’s been with me for the last 7 years, and is honestly one of the nicest sounding dreadnoughts I’ve ever played.

Has a bookmatched Solid Sitka Spruce top, laminated Mahogany back/sides/neck, and a Rosewood Fingerboard.

Was hand-selected by me…out of five the retailer had in inventory, for its booming tone and excellent sustain. If I wasn’t swimming in guitars, I wouldn’t even be considering selling this one haha!

The best thing about these solid-top Yamaha’s is that their tone is like a fine wine, it only improves with age. If you want a fantastic no-nonsense acoustic guitar that’ll last you for years to come…I honestly couldn’t recommend these enough.

These are the absolute worst strings I have ever encountered in my near 30 years of guitar…it’s astonishing the level of garbage they put on at the factory…oh well 🤷‍♀️

After filing the fret ends and giving everything a good buff and polish…it was given two coats of lemon oil, and restrung with a fresh set of 12-52 Ernie Ball Earthwoods.

Good as new 👍

One of the most common things I hear from people who’ve given up on learning guitar is: “I found it really hard to play”

And that might not necessarily be their fault…

Something not many people know is that: almost all inexpensive/beginner guitars aren’t set up to play from the factory.

This wasn’t such an issue in years gone by, as most reputable dealers would give the guitar a basic set-up before putting in on the sales floor. In fact, my first job was working part-time at a music store, doing set-ups and restringing guitars.

Now with the advent of Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart…tons of people are buying guitars that are absolutely unplayable and wondering why nothing sounds right, and everything hurts.

We don’t sell anything in a sealed box...because that box could’ve been sitting in a warehouse for a year or two, while the neck bows forward and the frets literally rust…

What “In Tune” does, is go back to that tradition of hand inspecting and finishing every instrument that we sell…so it’s completely playable and comfortable from day one. 👍
