Most people see the finished chocolate. Not everything is a moment worth posting.

What they don’t see is how much of this business happens in airports, parking lots, loading carts, rental cars, and everything in between.

A lot of it is just movement, repetition, and figuring things out in real time.
Overtime the repetition becomes its own rhythm. Pack everything up move it across country, unpack it, figure out what went wrong and then do it all again a few days later.

A lot of this season was held together in real time with checklists, problem solving, and very loaded dollies.

That’s the part behind our chocolate business most people never see but it’s where so much of the work actually lives.

The votes are in… and honestly, I was a little concerned 😅

38% thought we’d have 5–10 broken eggs
38% thought zero because I ate them all (rude… but fair)

The actual number?
2 broken vegan creme eggs💔

Considering we packed them up and brought them all the way to the One of a Kind Show this weekend… I’ll take that as a win.

Not perfect, but pretty close for handmade chocolate on the move 🍫✨

As 2025 ends, I’m pausing to reflect on what I want to carry into 2026.

This year was about making chocolate with care, sharing it through tastings, and connecting with people who love cacao as much as I do. Every bar, every moment, reminded me why I started Living Lotus: for the craft, the farmers, and the joy of sharing chocolate intentionally.

I’m so grateful to our customers, collaborators, and community — your curiosity and support make this work meaningful.

Now it’s time to rest, reflect, and dream.

Here’s to a 2026 full of craft, connection, and chocolate. 🤎

2025 has been a year of journeying for chocolate — quite literally. ✈️⛴️🚗

12 flights.
8 ferries.
24 hours on the road.

From Toronto (3 times!) to Edmonton, Victoria, the Sunshine Coast, and all the way to Peru, I’ve travelled for cacao, for craft, and for the people who grow it.

This year we also added chocolate tastings — sharing chocolate with you in person, seeing your reactions, and connecting over each bite has been one of the highlights of the year.

I am so deeply grateful for every order, every kind word, and every smile that reminds me why I do this.

Living Lotus is now closed for the season, resting, and dreaming of new chocolate adventures in 2026. 🤍
