The coolest spot to dine al fresco in town really right now is the CHUPITO back patio! The food, the drinks, the vibes. No notes. We’re so happy they’re back.

We absolutely loved the oysters, scallop and pulpo tostadas, and the Platano and Guanabana cocktails. 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

Everything we ate on our first visit to SUD SOI | Vancouver, a Thai restaurant hidden inside the shopping plaza at the corner of 1st and Commercial Drive. The underground parking has ample parking, an instant bonus point for convenience.

We liked that the menu was organized by regional dishes, making it easier to order for variety to get a taste of Isaan (Northeastern), Lanna (Northern ), and Thai classics.

Herbal Soup with Chicken and Dill [Gaeng Om G*i]

Chicken, chili paste, mushrooms, napa cabbage, squash, Thai eggplant, dill, green onions

Lanna Laab [Laab Nua]

Stir-fried ground pork with prik laab, makwen, vietnamese cilantro, fried garlic, green onions, crispy pork rinds, fish sauce

Grilled Pork Jowl [Kor Moo Yang]

A cool dinner for summery Sunday: Seafood Sundays at Collective Goods! $60 per person for a deliciously refreshing spread of seafood nibbles. We also caught the tail end of happy hour and added on extra goodies for the table. Yum!

A fun night in Port Moody: delicious Neapolitan style pizza at Pizzeria SpaccaNapoli, an after dinner walk through beautiful Rocky Point Park, stroll over to brewery row and pick your fave patio (we went with The Parkside Brewery), and capped it off with the famous Vashti Rose Artisan Ice Cream (get the IYKYK dollop add-on for “just a taste” of that second flavour you had your eye on!)

Any excuse to go to Osteria Savio Volpe. The pasta, the wine, the room. Reliably one of our favourites in the city for a special night out.

This summer they’re running a feature dish with wild BC sockeye (cashew crema, sea asparagus, braised radish, fennel pollen) as part of a city-wide celebration of BC’s strongest Fraser River sockeye return since 2018.

A number of other hotspots have salmon dishes featured too, all sourcing through Organic Ocean Seafood

We had an incredible meal at Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar for a family birthday. The team took such great care of us, from the thoughtful kids menu to knowing who would want mugs of hot water all night. :) Truly delivered on ‘special occasion’ meal for the whole family.
