I decided to name my business “The Red Brick” to tie in various factors and characteristics. The first is obvious to the patron, being that vermilion is a shade of red. Another is historical, as Vermilion was known for manufacturing red bricks from 1906 to 1914 and the brick factory was one of the earliest businesses in Vermilion. I intend for “The Red Brick” to be a distinct and diverse destinati

on in a town desperate for something different. On the surface “The Red Brick” will be a local health-food store that sells coffee and homemade baked goods. The goal is for “The Red Brick” to be a locally-sourced and sustainable business-hub that supports local Vermilion artists, farmers and entrepreneurs that brings the community of Vermilion together.
