Solo diving can be an incredible experience, but it requires the highest level of preparation and respect for safety.

Before diving alone, keep these key points in mind:
Solo diving is not for beginners and it inherits greater risk than diving with buddy.
Statistically most diving accidents happen when buddies separate.

Get proper training
Be certified through specialized courses like the PADI Self-Reliant Diver or take one of the Tech courses, which teach you dive planning, emergency procedures, and risk management.

Equipment Redundancy Is Critical: Carry backup gear for essential life-support equipment:An independent, redundant air supply such as a pony bottle or dual tanks.
Backup buoyancy devices, in cold waters it is drysuit and BCD. In an emergency, DSMB can be used.
Have primary and a bsckup dive computer.
Take two dive lights, I use OrcaTorch D630 as my primary and D710 as secondary from .ca
Cutting tools (accessible on both hands).
Backup mask for emergencies.
