Meet the Estrella ( meaning ⭐️ star), in the gorgeous color Split Pea faux leather.
If this doesn’t scream Spring, I don’t know what does.
I used some of my hoarded Rifle floral for the lining and gold toned hardware.
She finishes her profile at about 12” wide and 10” high.
I’m loving that the bag is mostly Canadian bought products and is a Canadian designer 🇨🇦. ( me too)
I’m thinking this one will go fast.

Custom order “ man bag” for travel.
Two toned waxed canvas outer, seatbelt webbing, antique bronze hardware and leather tab are a great combo.
This sling lies close to the body ( over either shoulder) and has another zip pocket against your body for safety.
I increased the pattern size to 105% for phone and passport storage. I also hacked the front zipper to be horizontal instead of slanted. All personal preference.

Practical vs pretty 😉

Not going to lie… I was not really excited about this project but now that it’s done I see the vision.
My husband’s business involves hauling their equipment on flatbed trailers. Anyone who does this knows that windshields don’t like stones and these tractor windows are expensive to replace, plus the time out of rotation is extra costly, so I was “ asked nicely” (😉)to make up custom covers for travelling.
It also had to be easy on/easy off.
Thanks to my local fabric shop for getting me this quilted vinyl winter grade fabric.

Time for a neutral, dare I say , masculine, travel bag.
I tweaked a pattern I had to be more vertical, added zipper pocket and slip pocket.
You can easily carry a wallet, glasses case, passport, phone and more.
Matte black hardware and adjustable 1 1/2” strap make it comfy too.

So, this is what all those pieces and tons of zippers results in.
And Murray finally gets a bag for him.
Waxed canvas color blocked Stephan Sports duffel has an integrated shoe pocket in the base and I added a mesh pocket and a zipper inside.
This is a big sew and took a long time and a lot( !) of materials, so not sure it’s in my list of orders possible… it would have to be worth my while for sure.
But it’s a super duffle bag and he loves it, so that’s worth a lot in my books.

It’s so hard to get good pictures of black bags.🤷‍♀️ You’d think it’d be easy, but no, it isn’t.
This is a dual purpose tote/shoulder bag/crossbody. It has snaps on the gusset to close it up but then you can also open them up and carry a small laptop. ( that’s my IPad 10 in the picture for reference).
Lots of pockets for all the stuff.
Purse to protect the base and a great neutral crossbody strap that you can use with your other bags.
