Time to say goodbye 💕

Hello friends -
Hard to believe almost one year ago, I pressed the send button on my first post and Pauper Princess was born.
Taking the leap, not knowing where it would take me, how long it would last, the many wonderful people that supported me with their purchases, kind words of support or just people checking out my page, inspired me to continue my little business on Instagram.
One year later, I look back on how I’ve grown, how proud I am of what I created and how I, hopefully, showed people the great side of thrifting and how they could make a small difference in helping the environment, while looking fabulous without spending a lot. It warms my heart that I was able to create this.
I have decided, at this time, to close Pauper Princesss, and take time to see where my time and help is needed, not knowing when and where this may lead me.
I have stock, both summer and fall, that I will be clearing at sale prices, on my story, starting Tues., Aug. 17 - Tues., Aug. 31. I hope you will check it daily, hoping you find something for yourself, or, maybe something for a gift.
My family has been touched by cancer over the last while, so 20% of proceeds, from these sales and sales from donations, people have generously given to me, will be donated to The Canadian Cancer Society.
Many thanks and lots of love for your support this past year. It was a great ride for me and hoping for you also.
Hoping our paths cross again.

Friday Focus 💕

Lasting joy doesn’t come from objects, it comes from experiences. Our brains collect moments in time, frames them and revisits them constantly. We can enjoy them in a way we can never enjoy material things.
Whether we have lots of money in the bank, or just a little, the things which matter most are the memories we make. Our happy memories help us when life is difficult.
So remember, treasure each day, make memories and enjoy all the wonderful times.

Joseph Ribkoff ❤️

Floral Pants 🌸

Flower Power 🌸💐🌼🌺🌷🌹

The joy of flowers - they make us smile and dispel gloom.
Summer fashion barely exists without florals. Oversize and graphic prints are the trend.
Floral on floral can be fun if done right. They stand out when paired with stripes and gingham. But over styling them can kill the look.
Florals look great when paired with solids. Pick a colour from the print itself or go with basics like nudes, whites, blacks and washed denims.

Friday Wedding At a Kitchener Landmark 💒

St. Mary’s Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows is the oldest and largest Roman Catholic Church in Kitchener, ON.
Built in 1954 and established as a parish in 1857, the original church, on the corner of Weber and Young Streets, soon became too small for its growing congregation. In 1900, ground was broken again for the new and present church, finishing in 1903.
The church interior features vaulted ceilings with paintings by Signor Ilario Panzironi, stained glass windows and a pipe organ installed in 1948 as a war memorial.
Worth a visit to check out its majestic, historic, beautiful landmark.

Another Year 🎂🎉🎈🥂

Colourful and Comfy On A Visit to A Kitchener Landmark 🌿

Colour and comfy as I visit one of my favourite parks, Victoria Park and the clock tower landmark.
The tower was originally part of Kitchener’s old City Hall which was located where the Kitchener Market now stands. The original City Hall was built in 1919, revamped in 1924 with the addition of the clock tower.
Unfortunately, the City Hall was demolished in 1973 but the tower was saved. In 1995, it was reassembled and placed on a new base in Victoria Park after being in storage for several years. In 2024, this great tower will turn 100 years old. So grateful it has a place!!
Chose a colourful, chiffon cover, fun, silver/turquoise jewellery, black leggings, Nine West slides and bag as I wander beautiful Victoria Park, coffee in hand.
