Ill be at Groovyfest in Kincarden tomorrow from 10-6! Come out and enjoy the fun, maybe hit the beach while you're there! I'll have all the crowd pleasers and a few (not all) nicer bags with me as I need hold back some for the new store, The Local opening in Fairview Park Mall Aug 15.

Big announcement here! Wild Thistles Sewing will be displaying and selling some bags, the really nice ones of course, at a new store called The Local opening August 15th at Fairview Park Mall. The store will only carry Canadian handmade items. The owners opened their first store at White Oaks Mall, in London and I found it to be beautifully set up and managed. It really is a store that you would expect to see in a mall with the true mall experience. Hope you can check it out and support local and Canadian handmade. I just adore this returning print PASTORAL FOREST from My Fabric Dresser, now on preorder until July 31!
This stunning 3D flower print is very understated, with its neutral colour palette. It pairs well with pinks, teals and browns. I have personally ordered this print a couple of times in the past, and paired it with rose gold hardware, but this time I used bronze, which absolutely looks gorgeous! This time I made the Rae Dual Zip Crossbody bag from Linds Handmade in waterproof Bonded Nylon with a waterproof canvas lining.

Introducing a new print from My Fabric Dresser, PAINTED GARDEN now on preorder until July 31!
This is a very pretty, delicate pink floral print, perfect for special bags. I made the Celestial Curve from Chris W Designs using Nylon Repel. I love working with this base as there is no fraying, works well with many bag styles and is waterproof. I love the pink infusion in bag making this year, I’ve embraced it wholeheartedly and have added many pink bags to my collection. The bag itself is a fun, intermediate challenge for bag makers.
