Two years ago I saw a grant application for a city mural. I thought that sounded pretty neat but way too big for me to try. One year ago I saw this wall and thought “I want to paint that” but wasn’t sure if I’d be allowed. Today, I’m painting it! One of the biggest lessons of my thirties is that you can just do stuff, you know? Like you can figure it out and do the things you want to do. For someone who grew up very constricted and scared, this is pretty freeing. Let’s paint a mural!
