When Urban Art Market first started, we had a simple dream: to connect our community with the incredible, handmade talent right here in Windsor-Essex. Over the last decade and a half, we have grown, evolved, and expanded into so much more than just a retail store.

Today, we are proud to support our local creative community across 4 distinct pillars:

I finally had to shut down my Etsy shop to US buyers due to the new section 338 tariffs. A handmade product made of wood (from Canada or the US) will incur a 50% minimum tariff to my US customers when shipped from Canada. 70% of my business, gone in a blink.

That being said, I am greatful more than ever to my Canadian customers, especially for the support of my new retail partners. My website has been revamped, and I'm so pleased to share it for the first time: https://foxwoodgifts.ca/ I've added a ton of new products only previously available via wholesale.

Check in with your favourite local businesses. Make sure they're okay. Patronize them as best you can -- if not with a purchase, then with a reshare, a recommendation, or just a 'like' or comment to feed the algorithm.

🍂🎨 CALLING ALL ARTISTS, ARTISANS, & MAKERS! 🎨🍂Applications are open for Marketplace Vendors at the annual "Art at the oTENTiks" festival inside the beautiful Point Pelee National Park!

If you are a Windsor-Essex creative looking for a unique, high-traffic autumn event to showcase your handmade goods, connect with new customers, and share your craft, this is the perfect weekend for you.✨

The Details:
📅 Event Dates: October 17 & 18, 2026
🕚 Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM Daily
📍 Location: Camp Henry oTENTik Village, Point Pelee National Park
⛺ Space: Outdoor Marketplace ($80 for the weekend – bring your own 10x10 tent/tables)

We are looking for local makers with visually strong, high-quality, and giftable items to fill our outdoor vendor village. Visitors will be exploring the marketplace while enjoying everything the park has to offer during a gorgeous fall weekend!

Prohibition Week culminates with Windsor's biggest free admission celebration of our rum-running history at the FREE Riverfront Speakeasy.

Join us at the Legacy Beacon Streetcar No. 351 for an evening of live music, entertainment, themed experiences, delicious food and drinks, and a chance to celebrate one of the most unique stories in Windsor's history.

No tickets. No cover. Just a great night on the waterfront. Optional food and drink purchases avialable.
