I haven’t posted much lately with work, side projects, summer vacation, and a 2 (almost 3!) year old keeping me busy. Sounds like a good time for a re-introduction!

I’m Allaina, the crafter (and designer, photographer, owner/operator) behind McLoveys. And pictured here is Bunny, the well-loved, greying lump of a lovey that started it all. I’ve been an avid fibre artist since my early teens. I had thought about selling my projects for years but never had the full vision. Then, I had my own kid who received Bunny from her cousins when she was born, and the idea for McLoveys was born, too.

No two loveys are the same. Each one starts as an idea and is made free-handed (no pattern) with a variety of crochet techniques. I’ve since expanded into baby mobiles and have plans to eventually make wall hangings and stroller toys - if only those other pesky responsibilities would stop getting in the way!
