FOREWORD
This document is a comprehensive text that covers all the sections of the current Cameroon G.C.E Examination in History at the Ordinary Level. The three sections in question are (i) Cameroon Since 1850 (ii) Africa since 1870 excluding Cameroon and (iii) World Diplomacy since 1870. It sets out to provide students and other learners preparing to write the G.C.E and other related examinations with an outline of the information they need to succeed in their examinations. It also equips learners with basic skills required in tackling the various types of questions often tested at the Ordinary Level such as Essay or problem-solving questions, Stimulus or source-based questions, short-answer or structural questions and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).The document will also serve as a useful and dependable handbook for teachers especially young teachers just fresh from professional schools.
The text (An Integrated History Since 1850 for G.C.E ‘’O’’ Level Candidates: Cameroon, Africa and the World) ensures adequate syllabus coverage and has been well structured with relevant information written out in point form and simple, straight forward language and with a variety of revision questions projected at the end of each chapter.
