China’s Ministry of Finance has announced adjustments to export tax rebate policies for photovoltaic products and batteries — a move that will directly impact global pricing and supply chains.

Key highlights:

▪️ From April 1, 2026: Export VAT rebates for PV products will be canceled

▪️ Battery products:

– Apr–Dec 2026: VAT rebate reduced from 9% to 6%

– From Jan 1, 2027: VAT rebate for batteries will be fully canceled

Higher export costs, pressure on manufacturers’ margins, and likely price increases across global battery markets.
