Why does barcode darkness change during continuous printing?
A common complaint from buyers is:
“The first labels print well,
but after continuous printing, the barcode darkness becomes unstable.”
This often happens with warehouse and shipping labels.
At the beginning, the labels may look fine.
But after longer printing, problems start to appear:
• some barcodes become lighter
• barcode contrast becomes unstable
• print quality is no longer consistent
• scanning speed becomes slower
For importers and distributors, this is a hidden risk.
Because a few sample labels may pass the test,
but full-roll printing tells the real story.
In warehouse use, thermal labels are not tested by one label.
They are tested by continuous printing performance.
So why can a thermal label print well at first,
but lose stability during long printing?
