· “MOLLE 4000 — Built for the Airborne”
The MOLLE 4000 is one of the most purpose-built rucks in modern U.S. load-carrying history —
designed specifically for airborne units and their mission requirements.
What makes it different?
⸻
1. Built for Jump Loads
The 4000 wasn’t made as a general infantry pack.
Its structure, volume and tie-down points were tuned for airborne operations:
secure attachment during descent, stable landing impact, and fast post-landing movement.
⸻
2. A True Hybrid Structure
Unlike classic ALICE frames or early MOLLE setups,
the 4000 uses a reinforced internal frame with external-frame concepts:
• firm vertical support
• wide load distribution
• rigid spine for heavy cargo
• stability under sudden impact
It’s a blend of two systems — not one or the other.
⸻
3. Massive Usable Volume
“4000” is not a random number.
It was built to carry:
• jump equipment
• sustainment gear
• cold-weather layers
• hydration systems
• mission-specific kits
Volume without collapse — that’s the key.
⸻
4. Clean Exterior, Mission-Ready Layout
The 4000 looks simpler than ALICE or FILBE, but that’s intentional.
Airborne units need:
• fewer snag points
• smoother profile during jumps
• optimized strap placements
• direct integration with parachute rigging
The design is clean because the mission demands it.
⸻
5. A System, Not Just a Pack
Like every major U.S. load-bearing evolution,
the MOLLE 4000 is part of a larger ecosystem:
• frame
• harness
• belt system
• sustainment pouches
• airborne-specific tie-downs
It’s a full platform — not a single item.

Why We Built It
Over the years, we studied the original U.S. design in detail
and reproduced it with accuracy — while offering modern colorways
for different users and training environments.
Different generation, same mission:
Carry heavy loads.
Keep the soldier moving.
Hold up under real conditions.
