1.When they test the flash point using open cup for a l**e oil where the flash point is around 250°C, how much time it takes to test the sample.

When testing the open-cup flash point with an expected value of 250°C, the instrument will start heating from room temperature. The test itself takes approximately 20 minutes. After the test is completed, the instrument automatically activates the cooling fan to cool down the furnace block. The cooling time is about 20 minutes. A second experiment can be conducted once the furnace temperature has returned to room temperature.
When testing a product with a 250°C closed-cup flash point, the test for the sample takes approximately 40 minutes. Upon completion, the instrument automatically activates the cooling fan. After a cooling period of about 20 minutes, a second experiment can be conducted.
The actual time required to complete a single test cycle mainly depends on two factors:
🔸 Ambient Temperature (Affects cooling): After the test is completed, the machine needs to cool down. If your laboratory is air-conditioned (around 20°C), it cools down very quickly. However, if the room temperature is higher, approaching 30°C or above, the cooling process will naturally take a longer time.
🔸Test Procedure (Affects heating): Different procedures have different heating rates and ignition frequencies (the ignition interval might be 1°C or 2°C). Procedures with slower heating rates will naturally require more time to complete.
2.How can we do the calibration on the instruments especially. Can we do it ourselves or do they need to go to your factory?
