🚀 Introducing the New WARPDRIVE EC Series
WD-20E & WD-20EP — Servo Direct Drive with True RA-Axis Feedback
We are excited to introduce the newest members of the WARPDRIVE family: WD-20E and WD-20EP.
Together with the WD-15E, they complete our new EC Series — combining our proven servo direct-drive architecture with high-resolution absolute feedback directly on the RA output axis.
Our original WARPDRIVE mounts demonstrated the advantages of a belt-free servo direct-drive system:
• Fast guiding response
• Minimal backlash
• Quiet operation
• Long-term consistency without belt adjustment

🎯 True RA-Axis Measurement and Feedback
The absolute encoder measures the actual position of the final RA output axis — the axis that directly determines tracking performance.
Unlike motor-side estimation, the system provides:
• Direct measurement of final RA position
• Real-time closed-loop feedback
• Correction of residual transmission errors
• Improved consistency between individual mounts
Combined with the internal motor encoder, the WD-20E Series creates a dual-encoder servo system:
One encoder controls the motor.
The second encoder verifies the actual RA-axis movement.

⚙️ Direct-Coupled Servo Drive
The WD-20E Series continues the core WARPDRIVE architecture:
• Servo motor directly coupled to the harmonic reducer
• Short and rigid transmission path
• Fast response to guiding corrections
• No belt tension or aging effects
Because measurement and actuation are both located within the same rigid drive system, corrections can be applied faster and more accurately.

📊 Individually Calibrated Precision Report
Every WD-20E and WD-20EP is individually calibrated after final assembly.
Each mount includes its own Precision Report, measured from the complete RA drive system:
• Servo motor
• Strain-wave reducer
• Mechanical axis structure
• Absolute encoder
• Control system
This verifies the performance of the complete assembled mount — not only the reducer itself.
Every customer receives the report for their own mount.
