What should we do after your hear the motor sounds abnormally?
The sharp sound is mainly caused by the operation of the motor. Only when the motor is running abnormally, the abnormal sharp sound be produced. There are three reasons for the abnormal operation:
1. Motor problem: For example, the bearing is damaged, or there is a foreign body stuck in the motor, which affects the normal rotation of the motor.
Troubleshooting method: Turn the outer rotor of the motor quickly by hand when the power is off to check whether there is any abnormal rotation. If there is, please eliminate the problem according to the actual situation.
2. ESC problem: For example, there may be a problem with the ESC itself.
Troubleshooting method: connect the ESC to the motor, plug the ESC control signal line directly into the third channel (throttle) of the remote control receiver, fix the motor and the ESC, first do not install the blades, and then power on the ESC. Push the throttle stick of the remote control back and forth repeatedly to check if there is any sharp sound. (Note that this process is carried out without the participation of the flight controller).
3. Compatibility of flight control and power system:
First, let’s look at the control logic and process: after the receiver receives the throttle signal from the remote controller, it will send it to the flight controller, the flight controller reads the signal and then forwards it to the ESC, and the ESC receives the signal from the flight controller and then controls The motor is running.
If the power system is normal through the above 1 and 2 steps, it is likely that the flight controller is compatible with the ESC.
Troubleshooting method: replace the ESC or the flight controller for testing.
