Shaanxi History Museum, the first large-scale modern national museum in China and one of the first AAAA-rated tourist attractions, is renowned as the "Pearl of the Ancient Capital and Treasure House of China." Its collection includes 1,717,950 cultural relics, among which 762 are first-grade relics and 18 are national treasures—two of the latter belong to the first batch of relics prohibited from being exhibited overseas, placing the museum among the top in China. In 2008, Shaanxi History Museum was rated as a National First-class Museum. Subsequently, it has been recognized by UNESCO as a world-class museum.

Traces of time bear the wisdom of millennia; patterns etched in lines encode the genes of civilization. Shaanxi History Museum, the first large-scale modern national museum in China and one of the first AAAA-rated tourist attractions, is renowned as the "Pearl of the Ancient Capital and Treasure House of China." The exhibition runs from February 15 to May 14, 2026. Organized into four thematic chapters—"Prologue," "Exploration," "Review," and "Innovation"—it traces the evolution of civilization from 5,800 to 3,800 years ago, systematically highlighting the pivotal role of the broader Central Plains as the heart of civilization. Drawing on archaeological evidence, it demonstrates the defining characteristics of Chinese civilization—"unity in diversity, inclusiveness, and uninterrupted continuity"—and offers an archaeological perspective on the formation of "Early China."

Covering a land area of 15,318 square meters, its main building comprises four above-ground floors and one underground floor, with a total contruction area of 25,000 square meters. Built to professional art museum standards and functions, it houses ten exhibition halls with a combined exhibition area of approximately 5,000 square meters and a total exhibition line length exceeding 1,200 meters.

Structured around six core emotions—anger, disgust, fear, joy, sadness, and awe—this exhibition presents more than 140 works (sets), including paintings, sculptures, and installations by Kenny Scharf, presenting a complete picture of the artist's creative evolution from his early experimental period to the maturation of his distinctive artistic style.

From anger to awe, from ecstasy to sorrow, the entire "Emotional Universe" unfolds gently in the exhibition hall. Kenny Scharf, born in Los Angeles in 1958, is a leading figure of the 1980s East Village art movement in New York. Together with his mentor Andy Warhol and fellow artists Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, he is a pioneer of contemporary street art. His artistic creations often go beyond the canvas, extending to household appliances, furniture and even cars, blurring the boundaries between artistic practice and daily life. Committed to the ideas that "art is accessible to all" and "art belongs to everyone", he hopes every visitor can resonate with his works. In many ways, his artistic spirit transcends the boundaries of Pop Art history. He coined the term "Pop Surrealism" to describe his unique practice. His participation in the 1985 Whitney Biennial marked the start of his international influence, which has endured to this day.

From Paris to Hangzhou, a journey spanning 9,500 kilometers and seven years of waiting, over 130 museum-quality pieces from the Palais Galliera converge at BY ART MATTERS to form an intellectual scroll that can be directly perceived. This is both a physical arrival and the rooting of pioneering ideas. Margiela himself remains absent, yet his presence permeates every corner—he lingers behind his works, much like the AKZU Tracron M3/M4/Q4 museum track lights blend subtly into the space. With precise and restrained illumination, the lighting clearly unfolds every detail along the two-decade creative journey of the garments: the delicate textures of fabrics, the rich layers of structures, and the subtle traces of time. From October 1, 2025 to February 1, 2026, the retrospective exhibition Martin Margiela 1989–2009: The Women's Collections is presented at BY ART MATTERS, Hangzhou. Following its world premiere at the Palais Galliera, the City of Paris Fashion Museum in 2018, this marks the exhibition's first presentation in Asia. Bringing together over 130 looks created between 1989 and 2009, complemented by runway footage, fashion archives and installations, the exhibition features minimal information about the designer, offering a fluid narrative that unfolds the two-decade creative journey of one of the most influential and enigmatic figures in contemporary fashion.
