Regular sodium chloride deicing salt primarily works by lowering the freezing point of water. In colder conditions, with snow adhesion and refreezing risks, its effective treatment window can be more limited.
Our 74% / 94% calcium chloride eco-friendly deicing salt is formulated around calcium chloride, combining strong hygroscopic performance with heat released during dissolution. Applied 2–4 hours before snowfall, it can form a liquid brine film on ice and snow surfaces with a freezing point as low as -50°C, helping snow melt on contact while reducing snow adhesion and refreezing.
Compared with regular sodium chloride deicers, it is designed for lower-temperature road-maintenance conditions. Its eco-friendly formulation also combines ice-melting efficiency with corrosion-control and vegetation-impact considerations.
Applicable freezing point range: -35°C to 0°C
Carbon steel corrosion rate: 0.08 mm/a
Relative ice-melting capacity: 102%
Relative damage rate of plant seeds: 7%
