INCOLOR VOYAGER

INCOLOR may mostly be known for their road bikes, but they also have a weapon that is pretty lethal on the dirt.

The VOYAGER pulls heavily on the Speedster DNA from its road counterparts, refined specifically for dirt performance. Designed to be the heart of a lightweight, high-performance gravel build, its slim yet thick-walled tubing delivers maximum impact resistance with minimal weight penalty - built tough without adding bulk.

There must be something in the water at the Harrogate Nova Race Team HQ.

On June 25th, Freddie Winkley powered the pre-loved race rig of reigning Junior World Champ Harry Hudson to win the Irish Junior Road Race Championship. The hit rate of these boys is wild.

He even left Harry's name sticker on the bike because he believed it was going to bring him that little extra bit of luck - not that he needed it with those weaponised legs, but a little luck and buckets of team spirit never hurt! ☘️

To celebrate his win, we had to hook Freddie up with a custom-painted Irish Champs version of the Quick Pro Bikes ER:ONE. We have no doubt that this bike is going to be ripped around as much as it deserves - he's already nabbed some podiums on it, coming 2nd in the GP Plouay!

Freddie will be heading off to compete in the Junior Men's Road Race at the World Champs in Montréal on September 24th, and we wish him all the best! 💥

Bikes don't ride themselves.

Not an exhaustive list by any means and in no particular order, but we just want to take a moment to show some appreciation for the riders in the Panda Crew. 🫶🏻

They thrash the gear in training and on race day, they disect every geometry chart and ride-feel detail, they assemble some of the cleanest, most purpose-built rigs out there and they turn themselves inside out on the bike💥

KUNG - MACH 💥

One of the perks of doing our own QC here at Panda Podium is that while checking over the bikes, we sometimes grab the chance to take them into the sunshine and take some banging snaps before they head off to their lucky owners.

This KUNG MACH frame features one of KUNG's more intricate paint jobs, and it looks even better in person than in these pics.

The MACH is an all-out aero race frame that has very balanced handling and comes alive on rolling hills and flatter, faster courses.

Starting at just $1,399, it's a very compelling argument and we can't wait to see what this one looks like when it's fully built up 🐼

A couple of weeks ago, when we announced our Bike Shed Best Build winner, Karl Nelson mentioned in the comments that while the bike was awesome, it was pretty trick and pretty pricey.

Fair point. 🤔 We love seeing high-end setups, and although Olaf Barthodzie's INCOLOR SSR was an absolute specimen, a great build is often about how you bring it all together - not just how much cash you throw at it. 💥

So, on his advice, we started a new sub-competition specifically for builds on a more modest budget. (Rule: Dura-Ace, Ultegra, SRAM Red, Force, or ANYTHING from Campy or CeramicSpeed meant automatic disqualification!)

Alpe d'Huez Triathlon Winner! 🥇

When you think of a triathlon setup, you probably picture tri-spokes, disc wheels, and chunky, hyper-aero frames. But what happens when the triathlon takes place on Alpe d’Huez?

Thomas Steger answered that question last week with an absolute masterclass performance to take a very impressive win.

While many competitors suffered a brutal weight penalty on traditional, heavy tri bikes while facing 3,000 m of climbing over just 120 km, Thomas opted for his road bike fitted with arcaris.official 8848 Pro wheels and tri extensions.

There’s no secret that Thomas’s legs (and heart) did the talking, but on a course this lumpy, unnecessary weight just saps energy and needlessly slows you down. We never originally envisioned the ARCARIS 8848 Pro as a triathlon weapon, but when the road tilts up and shows no sign of coming back down, lightweight is still king.

Once again, a massive congratulations to Thomas! We were glued to the live stream in the office until around 22:00 while working late, and watching him blitz the field was a treat. 💥

Drake Deuel needs very little introduction at this point. He’s been taking down some massive segments and doing serious damage on the European Gran Fondo scene.

When we heard he was heading to France for some high-altitude KOM hunting around the time of the Tour de France, we knew we had to get him on a set of .official wheels to ensure his setup was perfectly dialed for the alpine passes. The legs are 100% what does the talking, though.

And talk they did. Mixed in with a bit of racing in the area, Drake attacked some of the most hotly contested climbs in the world.

The results of his trip:

- 1st Place: Grimpée Alpe d'Huez (The official hill climb race)

- 12th Overall: Alpe d'Huez Official Strava Segment
(14 seconds faster than Tom Pidcock's 2022 Tour de France stage-winning time)

- 👑 Strava KOM: Col du Télégraphe

- 👑 Strava KOM: Col du Glandon
(From the record held since the 2012 Tour)

- 16th Overall: Col du Galibier Official Strava Segment

- 16th Overall: Col de la Croix de Fer Official Strava Segment

Although he was personally hoping for a bit more out of the trip (the classic mentality of an elite athlete), the segments he nabbed are mind-blowing to the rest of us.

Drake has a new build in the pipeline featuring even more ultra-lightweight climbing gear, but what he’s pulled off on his current setup is already pretty unreal.
