Our team of professional engineers oversees mold construction and design for all of our brand partners. We have an experienced wheel building department and build all wheels by hand. Tension meters and measurements are recorded on every wheel we build. Our factory offers safe and rewarding careers for employees. Fair treatment and ongoing education has allowed us to increase product quality and build a sustainable future. Cutting, CNC drilling machines, finishing, painting, testing, and production lines are in separate work areas which allows us to perform quality control at each stage of the manufacturing process. The barcode tracking process coupled with our employee longevity has allowed us to steadily improve our rims.

We’ve been running Thrustlite-3 for a while now, but we haven’t really talked about it here.

So, here’s a closer look. 👀

For this build, we paired our Thrustlite-3 carbon spokes with NonPlus hubs and an Airia 52/65 wheelset.

At just 1.8g per spoke, Thrustlite-3 helps keep the wheelset light without compromising the stiffness and direct feel we look for in a performance build.

We developed the spoke in-house, paying attention to everything from the carbon layup to the titanium ends and the way it works with the hub.

The result? A lightweight, responsive setup that’s built to perform — and looks pretty good doing it, too. 🔥

What can a ~775g disc wheel do? Set a climbing PR. ⚡

The new Light Bicycle Flash C25 is around 325g lighter than the Light Bicycle C21 disc wheels (1100g), giving it a completely different ride feel.

Less rotational mass means quicker starts, sharper acceleration out of corners, and lighter handling on climbs and rolling roads.

According to our rider, C25 feels really light and nimble when you’re rocking the bike side to side. The lateral inertia is noticeably lower than the C21. Even when you’re climbing, you never really feel like you’re riding a deep-section wheel. It actually feels more like a 60mm-deep rear wheel.

Its one-piece carbon–PMI foam–carbon construction delivers high lateral stiffness and improved vibration damping, while the 25mm internal width is optimized for 28–38C tires.

If the C21 excels at holding speed on flat time-trial courses thanks to its stronger flywheel effect, the C25 is really made for more dynamic racing — whether it’s cornering, accelerating, climbing, or any other situation where you need to put the power down quickly.

Aero when it matters. Light when the road goes up.

A closer look at two high-performance hub systems - Qvist Mono and DT Swiss 240 EXP✍️

1. Bearings
QVIST Mono: Features six 17287 NTN bearings front and rear, with a larger ball contact area resulting in superior load capacity.

DT Swiss 240 EXP: Features six bearings front and rear, with two 15267 bearings in the front and four 15267 × 2 + 6802 × 2 bearings in the rear (Depending on freehub type).

2. Engagement Angle
This is where the two hubs take different approaches:

Qvist Mono: 60T engagement with a quick 6° engagement angle

DT Swiss 240 EXP: 36T Ratchet EXP system with a 10° engagement angle

3. Internal components
Apart from the difference in ratchet ring and bearing dimensions, the specifications of internal components such as the spring and shaft of QVIST are thicker and larger than those of DT Swiss 240 EXP, further improving overall durability.

4. Hubs Weight
Qvist Mono: approximately [270 g](with XDR freehub)
DT Swiss 240 EXP: approximately [308 g]

While the DT already offers outstanding weight reduction, the QVIST achieves an even lighter weight while prioritizing durability—a result made possible by precision engineering technologies such as five-axis CNC machining.

5. Color Options
QVIST Mono: Featuring a unique appearance on the market, it boasts the world's highest level of anodizing technology, resulting in vibrant and eye-catching colors.

DT SWISS 240 EXP: Features a classic black and red color scheme.
