September is here, and here’s what’s happening at Znova Kolektiv.

This month feels especially exciting because we’re creating more ways to find us, meet us and be part of the community both online and in person.

🤝🏽 September 24, Entrepreneurs Circle returns for its 4th edition. It’s been a joy to co-host this monthly event with Expat Club • Prague bringing together inspiring people building amazing things. Stay tuned for more info, because this edition will have a special twist.

If your weeks have been feeling full, this is your invitation to pause for a couple of hours, step away from your screen, and create something with your hands.

We'll blend a custom scent using essential oils, learn the basics of all-natural candle making, enjoy a welcome drink and light snacks, and spend the evening in good company.

You'll head home with a handmade tea light that evening, while your full-size candle cures overnight and will be ready for collection the next day (or delivered via Zásilkovna for an additional cost).

On 15 August, we’re bringing a little extra creativity to the beautiful Zen Den Yoga Prague.

Together with Handmade & DIY in Praha, Znova Kolektiv | Candles & Goods • Social Impact will be hosting a cozy pop-up where you can browse our handcrafted products, meet the makers, and take part in two mindful creative activities.

- Blend your own custom essential oil roll-on at the Znova Kolektiv scent bar.

- Create a Feel Good Jar with SmirglPapir—a small keepsake filled with positivity and intention.

Whether you’re coming for a yoga class, stopping by to browse, or simply curious to discover local makers, we’d love to welcome you.

💛 Free entry 🎁 The first 10 visitors will receive a small goodie.

Looking for a creative after work activity in Prague?

The After Work Candle Atelier is an invitation to slow down, step away from your screen, and spend an evening creating something with your own hands.

Together we’ll: - Blend your own signature scent using essential oils - Learn the basics of all-natural candle making - Enjoy a welcome drink and light snacks - Connect with a small group in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere

Because of the summer temperatures, your candle will stay behind to cure overnight, while you head home with a handmade tea light to enjoy that evening. Your full-sized candle will be ready to collect the next day or can be delivered via Zásilkovna.

August is looking like a goodie. ☀️

July has looked a little quieter from the outside, but behind the scenes it’s been full of planning, building the e-shop, refining workshops, and dreaming about what’s next (all while trying to survive the Italian heat 😅).

August is shaping up to be a month of creativity, connection, and community:

A few days ago, I shared my birthday wish with you.

Instead of gifts, I invited you to join me in supporting PCR Foundation, a grassroots organization serving widows and vulnerable children in South Kivu, D.R. Congo.

Today, I wanted to step aside and let you hear directly from Samuel, the founder of PCR Foundation.

Because of the generosity of friends, family, and the incredible communities connected through and .kolektiv, $894 USD was raised to support their event on 17 July.

This would not have been possible without the incredible effort and extended network of Mirella Kreder, a dear friend of mine, a long-time supporter of PCR Foundation, and someone whose generosity and commitment to this community continue to inspire me.

It’s difficult to put into words what this means not only to me, but even more importantly to the women and children who will receive practical care, encouragement, and the reminder that they have not been forgotten.

Moments like this remind me why I started Znova Kolektiv. Not simply to make candles & products, but to build a business rooted in care for people, the planet, and for communities we have the privilege of walking alongside.

To everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser, purchased a candle or product, or simply cheered this little business on...Thank you.

This impact belongs to all of us.

May we continue to be people who choose generosity, even in small ways, because small actions really can create meaningful change. 💛

🎂 Birthdays have a funny way of making us pause and reflect.

This year, instead of receiving gifts, I’d love to use my birthday as an opportunity to give something away.
One of the organizations closest to my heart, PCR Foundation, is preparing a day of encouragement for vulnerable widows and their children in South Kivu, D.R. Congo.

They’re just $750 USD away from reaching the budget needed to provide food, clothing, and community.
I’d love to help them get there.

If you’d like to celebrate with me, I’ve created a fundraiser (linked in my bio). Whether it’s the cost of a coffee or something more, every contribution brings them one step closer.

🙌🏽 June was amazingly full.

Workshops. Meetups. New faces. Beautiful conversations. Opportunities that reminded me just how much I love building this business.

And now… July looks very different.

No markets. No workshops. No events.

Instead, I’m taking an intentional pause to work on the things that will help Znova Kolektiv grow in the long run.

This month is for:
- Building our e-shop
- Clarifying strategy and direction
- Researching and learning
- Planning for the second half of the year
- Dreaming up new products, workshops, and collaborations

As a small business owner, it’s easy to stay busy doing. But sometimes the most important work happens when no one sees it.

Sometimes growth looks like stepping back, slowing down, and building the foundation before the next season begins.

I’ll still be sharing little adventures from Italy 🇮🇹 (yes, I know. Poor me 🙈), lessons I’m learning, and some exciting things coming in August.

Thank you for being here while I build this dream one intentional season at a time.

Turns out, candle-making is basically science disguised as a cozy hobby.

Behind every candle is a surprising amount of science, testing, and experimentation: finding the right fragrance load, choosing the correct wick, and learning how all the pieces work together.

And that’s one of my favorite parts of hosting these workshops.

Watching people slow down, get curious, ask questions, and discover that making a beautiful all-natural candle is both creative and surprisingly technical.

This past workshop ended up being smaller and more intimate than expected (thank you, heat wave ☀️), but that gave us even more space for conversation, laughter, and learning together.

Seeing everyone leave with a candle they created themselves and hearing them say, “I had no idea so much goes into this,“ brings me so much joy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and trusted me to share this craft that I have grown to love.

More public workshops are coming soon 🫶🏽.
