The best ideas start over a drink.
Fifteen years ago, I was sitting with my friend Ondřej and we decided we wanted to build a bike.
For a few friends. Nothing more than that.
The first customers were supposed to be people we knew. They weren’t. Strangers came first.
People who had found us somehow and decided they believed in what we were building. That surprise never really left us.
Since then, Festka has gone through more phases than we can count. Each one harder and more interesting than the last. Each one carried by people who gave this work more than their time.
Our engineers who ride the bikes they build.
The hands in the workshop who know each frame before it leaves. Our dealers around the world who carried this story into places we couldn’t reach alone.
Fifteen years of riders, of builds, of moments we were part of without always knowing it.
We didn’t set out to be part of those stories. We just tried to build the best possible bike for each specific person.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this. It still feels like the beginning.
