Today we start speaking about medical issues in sh***ri.
⠀
❣️ The bottom’s physical capabilities and medical conditions are very important to know. The whole sh***ri session scenario should be built depending on the bottom’s state. These issues are of the utmost importance and directly influence the bottom’s health and well-being.
Let’s start with discussing some medical conditions that are important to know and take into consideration during the play.
⠀
🔴 DIABETES
This condition is a contraindication for sh***ri. But if partners decide to take the risks they should remember the following:
▫️ Hypoglycemia. Sh***ri session may easily lead to the drop of blood sugar. It is very important to have a handy sugar source for such cases.
▫️ Peripheral neuropathy. People with diabetes belong to a risk group where nerve damage is more possible, especially for lower extremities. It is a good idea to be very careful about the pressure around the ankles - use more wrapping turns, spread the load.
✔️ Taking into consideration all of the above it may be a good idea to practice floor sh***ri or semi-suspensions wrapping only the upper part of the body.
⠀
🔴 NEUROPATHY, IMPAIRED CIRCULATION or LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE conditions
Speaking about nerve damage it is also a number of conditions that cause significant neuropathy, impaired circulation or impaired lymphatic drainage. The most common are lupus, stroke, mastectomy, any lymph node removal etc.
✔️Depending on the condition the top partner may exclude load to the affected area/limb or to practice floor sh***ri.
⠀
🔴 VARIVOSE VEINS
This condition is also a contraindication for sh***ri. During the session much attention should be paid to the pressure around the leg blood vessels. Avoiding tight rope around legs is a must. Failing to do so may result in developing new varicose veins.
✔️Here to minimize risks we can also recommend to practice floor sh***ri and semi-suspensions wrapping only the upper part of the body.
