Phyllanthus fluitans: Je mehr Licht, desto rötlicher die Blätter 🍁💚
Was oben auf dem Wasser treibt, verändert sich also mit der Zeit. Wer die Beleuchtung anpasst, bekommt eine andere Pflanze. Das ist bei Schwimmpflanzen eher selten. Und die kleinen weißen Blüten, die gelegentlich zwischen den herzförmigen Blättern erscheinen, bemerkt man meistens erst beim zweiten Hinschauen.

Endler Guppy Scarlett Red – Poecilia wingei 💜🧡🖤
Neu im Sortiment. Und direkt einer der auffälligsten.

Geweihschnecke Sun – Clithon sp.
Die Bunt hat viele Farben.
Die Sun hat eine Richtung. Die gelb-goldenen Muster auf der runden Schale erinnern an Sonnenstrahlen, die nach außen strahlen. Wer beide Varianten im Becken hat, merkt schnell, wie unterschiedlich zwei Schnecken derselben Art aussehen können.
Wer sich nicht entscheiden kann: Beide fressen Algen. Gleich gut.

🖤 Black Molly – Poecilia sphenops.
Manche Fische brauchen keine Farbe, um aufzufallen.
Der Black Molly ist seit Jahrzehnten in den Aquarien. Nicht weil er so selten ist, sondern weil er einfach funktioniert. Friedlich, robust, lebhaft in der Gruppe. Und dieses tiefe Schwarz, das im Licht leicht metallisch schimmert, macht ihn in einem bepflanzten Becken zu einem der kontrastreichsten Bewohner, die man haben kann.

Limnobium laevigatum 🌱💚
Soll dein Becken wie ein Regenwald aussehen?
Die Limnobium treibt an der Oberfläche und bringt gleich mehreres mit: Die langen, feinen Wurzeln bieten Schutz für Garnelen und Fische. Das dichte Blätterdach an der Oberfläche reduziert Lichteinfall und damit auch Algenwachstum. Und optisch erinnert sie tatsächlich ein bisschen an einen tropischen Regenwald von oben.

Blue Moon Snake Flusskrebs – Cherax sp. 🦀💙🌙
Manche Becken brauchen einfach etwas mehr Charakter.
Der Blue Moon Snake kommt aus Papua-Neuguinea und bringt das mit. Blau-schwarze Grundfärbung, dieser besondere Schlangenhaut-Effekt auf dem Panzer, und beim Männchen noch die weißen Scherenblasen obendrauf. Bis zu 15 cm wird er groß.
Wer ihn einmal im Becken hat, richtet das nächste Aquarium um ihn herum ein.

The Blue Moon Snake comes from Papua New Guinea and brings exactly that. Blue-black base colouring, that distinctive snake-skin effect on the shell, and on the males those white claw bladders on top. It grows up to 15 cm.

„Lass mich schnell den Dreck vom Wochenende entfernen..."
Die Batik Rennschnecke. Klaglos, ruhig, und dabei sieht sie so aus.
Neritina variegata ist eine der schönsten Rennschnecken im Süßwasseraquarium. Jedes Gehäuse sieht ein bisschen anders aus – gelb, braun, orange, mit Punkten oder Streifen. Dabei wird sie bis zu 15 Jahre alt und vermehrt sich im Süßwasser nicht.

The Batik Racing Snail. Quietly, without complaint, and looking like this.
Neritina variegata is one of the most striking racing snails in the freshwater aquarium hobby. Every shell looks a little different – yellow, brown, orange, with dots or stripes. It can live up to 15 years and doesn't reproduce in freshwater.

Indian Zebra Garnele – Caridina cf. babaulti.
Der Name kommt nicht von ungefähr.
Ein Zebra fällt auch erst auf, wenn man genau hinschaut. Transparenter Körper, dunkle Streifen, mal bräunlich, mal rötlich, mal mit einem Hauch Blau. Wer sie einmal im Becken gefunden hat, sucht sie beim nächsten Mal wieder.
