Yesterday, I was part of the Wolfratshausen Mineral Show, and I would like to share a few thoughts with you 🧐
It was a wonderful day—chatting with collectors, enthusiasts, and fellow exhibitors who are just as passionate about their pieces as I am. That’s exactly what makes a good mineral fair ❤️‍🔥
And yet, one thought keeps coming back to me, one that has become increasingly clear over the years:
Of perhaps 30 stands, only five - five! - were really focused on minerals. The rest? Cut stones, jewelry, esoteric items. I’m not saying this to pass judgment. But I do wonder: at what point can we still call it a MINERAL show?
The mineralogical concept - collecting, marveling at what the earth produces - definitely deserves more attention again. What do you think about this? 🔎
