I packed this order carefully. Somewhere between here and my customer’s door, someone cut a small opening in the side of the box and took everything out, leaving only the paper behind. She’s a returning customer — she only realised once she got home and opened an empty package.
The sale went through Vinted’s buyer protection, which is meant to insure exactly this. The payout was held back anyway. I had to explain exactly how I’d packed the box — the tape, the folds — and because I didn’t have a photo of it fully sealed, none of my packing photos counted as proof.
On top of that, Vinted removed more than 30 of my handmade listings and banned my account — for selling handmade items.
So from now on, I sell only through my own shop, or directly if you’d rather message me. Every piece here is one of a kind, and I’d rather you receive it safely than not at all.
