La Benifrip Copenhagen, a dream became reality. I managed somehow to survive the winter and now it’s time to celebrate, summer is around the corner!
Thanks for all the kind soul that i met in store, every single purchase and friends and family for being number 1 motivation.

• What’s something about Copenhagen that shocked you when you first arrived—culturally or creatively?
Starting from close to zero community to build one was the hardest. The shocking part was the change of scenery’s : From the mountains to basically a flat country is very disturbing.

• Why vintage specifically—what does vintage represent to you that new fashion doesn’t?
Vintage inspires new fashion, from local designer to fast fashion, everyone is using Vintage as a source of inspiration. Having in hands an original product is very unique, I feel lucky every time I put my hand on a unique piece.

• What’s the most special or emotional piece you have or have sold, and why?

I have kept some of the coolest « souvenir t-shirts » found while traveling. This has no price to me, it brings memories every time I’m wearing them.

• If La benifrip was a person at a party, who would they be? (and what would they be wearing?)
La Benifrip has a nice mix of every style in store. I will be dancing and social if the music is good. Of course I will dress with the clothes from the store, matching with the party vibes !

• What’s one vintage trend you secretly hope never comes back?
I wish the polyester fabric create in the 40s never appeared…
I just love natural fibers as cotton, linen or leather.

• What’s the hardest part of running a vintage store that no one sees on Instagram?

As the online scene is very strong, the Hardest part is to bring people in store, the rest is what I love to do, selling and telling stories !
• What’s your dream for La benifrip in 5 years—do you want it to stay niche or become bigger?
Keeping myself busy with founding the best items locally is my priority. Staying niche is key, sharing the adventure with someone would be a dream !
