After 4 months of test knitting, tweaking, and updating,… the Hedge Hooded Scarf is finally ready 💙🧶

This is by deva 🤍 ’s test knit version, and I’m honestly so in love with the blue she chose. It makes the little details and textures stand out beautifully, while giving the whole hooded scarf such a stylish look 🥰

I wanted to take my time with this one and make sure the final pattern is as clear, easy to follow, and beginner-friendly as possible. And now… I think it’s finally there 🥹

How I Knit Faster
(My Personal Tips)

I've been getting a lot of messages lately asking how to knit faster, and in this video, I just want to share how I personally knit. It's not a rule, it's just what works for me, and I hope you'll find something useful in it 🥰

If this feels a little awkward at first, that's completely normal - give it time. Once your hand gets used to it, you'll naturally find the tension and spacing that feels right for you

But honestly? I don't think speed really matters. What matters is enjoying every single stitch, feeling comfortable with your own hands, and just enjoying those little craft moments. This is just a small tip I wanted to share, and I really hope it's helpful for you.

How I Knit English Style (P2) - My Personal Tips

A few things that help this feel smoother:

1️⃣ Try to keep your movements small. A lot of beginners move the whole hand or wrist more than they need to - but the more you can isolate the movement to just your fingers, the faster and less tiring your knitting becomes.

2️⃣ Don't rush the coordination between your two hands. It's really a rhythm - left hand feeds, right hand wraps and pulls - and rhythm only comes with repetition.

If you want to try this method yourself, start slow. Let your hands learn the sequence first, without worrying about speed at all. Once the movement feels automatic, speed will come naturally on its own - you really don't have to force it.

How to Hold the Yarn - English Style (P1)

A couple of things that really help:

1️⃣ First - don't wrap too tightly. If your fingers are clamped down on the yarn, it won't flow smoothly, and you'll feel it fighting you with every stitch. You want just enough grip that the yarn doesn't slip, but loose enough that it glides.

2️⃣ Second - pay attention to the distance between your index finger and the needle tip. Too much distance and you'll waste movement reaching for the needle every time. Too close and you won't have room to wrap. Find that sweet spot where your finger can flick the yarn over with just a small, easy motion.

And if the yarn keeps slipping off your fingers while you're getting used to this - that's really common. You can try wrapping it one extra time around your index finger for a bit more grip while you build the muscle memory.

Honestly, this might feel a little clumsy the first few times - that's completely normal. Your hand just needs time to learn the motion. Once it clicks, you won't even think about it anymore, it'll just happen automatically while you knit.
