Centuries of earth turning, eras unfolding, decades bringing steady change - yet the olives can always be counted on to give their liquid gold, the palms generously offer themselves for weaving, and the people continue to enjoy getting tipsy from the
vine.
The land in Mallorca is bountiful and mindfully cultivated. Humans here make both elemental and extraordinary things with their hands and hearts. We are held by nature all around and are able to learn from its human stewards.

Meet some of the people we will spend our days with during our Guided Immersion into Nature, Craft, and Culture. February 1-8,2026.


LOIS & ALEXANDRA
Once prominent executives in the corporate world, now they are farmers of olives and almonds. Transformed by their relationship to land, they remain fastidious and creative. We’ll enjoy their delicious bounty along with their charming hospitality. (Lois is a terrific cook!)

UTA
A modern-day naturalist, she has deep knowledge of the island’s diverse edible and medicinal plants. We’ll walk with her in curiosity and delight to forage the abundant wild landscape, then join her to prepare and feast on a meal that incorporates our harvest.

LAURA
This proud, adoptive Mallorquí learned her craft from the island’s elders. She has taken the traditional weaving practices and filtered them through her modern vision to create stunning designs. We’ll visit her studio and try our hands at this ancient technique.

CATI
Rebel winemaker, trained sommelier, heiress to generations of vines. One of the most successful natural winemakers on the island, she is turning back to ancestral fruit to capture the terroir. We’ll walk the vineyard with her, then sit down for lunch and savor her vino. 

JUAN
Deeply connected to the mountains, he found a way to immerse himself further in the majestic plants, trees and flowers. He’ll take us into the hills, copper still in tow, to learn about wild plant distillation. Together, we’ll engage in the witchy alchemies that wrest fragrance from flora.
